Kia India October 2025 Sales – Sonet, Carnival, Seltos

The festive period has clearly worked in favour of Kia India. Riding on strong consumer sentiment, the Dussehra–Diwali season and broader tailwinds across the auto industry, the company has posted its highest monthly sales ever for October 2025. With 29,556 units sold, Kia’s year-on-year (YoY) and month-on-month (MoM) growth both hover around 30 %. @timesmitra

Strong numbers across the board

In October 2025, Kia India reported 29,556 units sold — up 30 % compared to 22,753 units in October 2024. On a monthly basis, the company moved from 22,700 units in September 2025 to this number in October — again a roughly 30 % jump.
This is a landmark moment for Kia India — the highest monthly tally since the brand started operations in the country. @timesmitra

Model-wise performance

Kia Sonet continued to dominate Kia’s portfolio. With 12,745 units sold in October 2025, it delivered a strong 31 % YoY increase from 9,699 units in October 2024. MoM rise was even more impressive at 41 % (from 9,020 units in September 2025).
Kia Carens (including its EV variant) came second, delivering 8,779 units, up 38 % YoY from 6,384 units a year ago. @timesmitra It also recorded a 20 % MoM growth over 7,338 units in September 2025.
Kia Seltos added further momentum with 7,130 units sold, a 12 % improvement over 6,365 units in October 2024. Month-on-month, it rose about 23 % from 5,816 units in September.
Kia Syros, still a relatively new entrant, sold 785 units in October 2025. This marks a strong 69 % MoM jump from 465 units in September 2025 (year-on-year comparison wasn’t highlighted).
On the flip side, Kia Carnival saw a sharp drop: only 116 units sold in October 2025, down 55 % from 255 units sold in October 2024. It did record a MoM gain of 90 % (from 61 units in September). @timesmitra

What’s driving the surge?

Several factors have come together to push Kia’s October numbers into record territory:

  • The festive buying wave during Dussehra and Diwali still holds strong, with buyers showing increased willingness to purchase new vehicles.
  • The recent GST tax-norm changes (introduced in late September) likely nudged buyers to act during October.
  • Kia’s refreshed and well-positioned model lineup, especially in the sub-4-metre SUV and MPV segments, appears to be hitting the right chords with buyers.
  • Competitive pricing, good feature sets and strong brand momentum are helping the Sonet, Carens and Seltos keep their appeal alive. @timesmitra

Reading between the lines

Sonet’s consistent dominance underlines Kia India strength in the compact SUV segment — a key battleground in India. Carens and Seltos have also maintained stable demand even as competition intensifies. Syros, though smaller in volume, is showing meaningful momentum and could be a model to watch in coming months.
Carnival’s slump might be an indicator of shifting buyer preference (perhaps waiting for an update) or simply that luxury/MPV volumes are tougher to scale in current conditions. Meanwhile, the positive MoM numbers hint that dealers and the brand effectively leveraged festive momentum.
With the next-generation Kia Seltos reportedly on the horizon, Kia seems well placed to reinforce its growth run into 2026. @timesmitra

In conclusion

October 2025 has been a standout month for Kia India — 29,556 units sold, roughly 30 % growth over both last year and last month. The Sonet, Carens and Seltos carried much of the load, while the younger Syros showed promise. Carnival’s dip aside, the overall picture is very positive. With festival tailwinds, recent tax changes and a strong product line-up, Kia is riding a growth wave that may well extend into the next year.

For anyone tracking India’s automobile market, Kia’s performance this month is a solid indicator of how a strong model mix, timing and favourable policy headwinds can come together to deliver a standout result. @timesmitra
