Mahindra has become one of the strongest players in the Indian SUV market over the last few years. From rugged off-roaders to premium family SUVs and futuristic electric vehicles, the brand has expanded rapidly across multiple segments. Now, it is preparing another major product wave for India.
Over the next few months and into early 2027, the company is expected to introduce three important vehicles that target completely different buyers. One will focus on electric off-roading, another aims to enter the premium lifestyle pickup category, and the third will strengthen one of India’s most successful full-size SUVs. The upcoming lineup includes the Thar E, Global Pik Up, and the Scorpio N Facelift. Here is everything you need to know.
1. Thar E

Expected Price: Rs 25 Lakh
Expected Launch: August 15, 2026
The Thar has already established itself as one of India’s most desirable lifestyle SUVs and Mahindra now wants to take that identity into the electric era. The upcoming Mahindra Thar E is expected to become one of the most talked-about launches from the company.
Unlike simply converting the existing Thar into an EV, Mahindra appears to be developing the Thar E with a completely different design philosophy. The SUV is expected to receive a more futuristic appearance while maintaining the strong, boxy proportions that made the regular Thar successful.
From previous concept showcases, the vehicle appears more aggressive with wider surfaces, modern lighting signatures and stronger road presence. The Thar E is expected to be underpinned by Mahindra’s INGLO electric platform, which is designed to support larger battery packs and advanced electric vehicle architecture.
This should allow the SUV to deliver improved range and performance. Although final specifications are not yet confirmed, expectations suggest a battery pack capable of delivering competitive real-world range for long-distance driving and off-road use.
Inside, it is expected to introduce a much more premium cabin compared to the current Thar. Larger displays, connected technology, digital interfaces and modern convenience features are likely to become key highlights.
The Thar E could become India’s first mainstream electric lifestyle off-roader positioned in this segment. If Mahindra gets pricing right, this could become one of the company’s biggest launches.
2. Global Pik Up

Expected Price: Rs 25 Lakh
Expected Launch: August 16, 2026
The second major launch from Mahindra targets a segment that still remains relatively underdeveloped in India. The upcoming Mahindra Global Pik Up aims to redefine the premium pickup truck category. Unlike traditional commercial pickups, this vehicle is being developed as a lifestyle product.
Mahindra has designed the Global Pik Up to compete globally and India is expected to receive the production version shortly after international rollout. The pickup is expected to share its foundation with the Scorpio N platform while receiving major structural and styling modifications. Visually, the Global Pik Up carries a strong SUV-inspired design.
The front section appears muscular and upright while the rear cargo area has been integrated in a way that maintains premium appeal. Large wheel arches and rugged detailing strengthen its lifestyle positioning. Inside the cabin, buyers can expect a setup similar to premium Mahindra SUVs.
Large digital displays, connected features, premium upholstery and advanced technology are expected. The pickup category has traditionally focused more on utility than comfort, but Mahindra appears ready to challenge that formula.
Engine options are expected to include Mahindra’s proven diesel powertrains with both manual and automatic transmission choices. Multiple drivetrain configurations may also be offered depending on market demand. The biggest advantage of the Global Pik Up could be practicality.
It combines SUV comfort with the versatility of an open cargo bed, creating an alternative for buyers who want something different from conventional SUVs. If launched aggressively, it may create an entirely new premium pickup audience in India.
3. Scorpio N Facelift

Expected Price: Rs 13.50 Lakh
Expected Launch: January 26, 2027
Among all upcoming Mahindra launches, the Scorpio N Facelift could become the most important in terms of sales volume. Since launch, the Scorpio N has remained one of India’s most successful full-size SUVs. Strong demand, rugged styling and premium positioning helped it become a major success for Mahindra.
With the facelift, the company is expected to keep the winning formula while introducing meaningful upgrades. Exterior changes are expected to include revised LED lighting, updated grille design and refreshed bumpers. Mahindra may also introduce new alloy wheel designs and updated paint choices.
The overall silhouette is unlikely to change dramatically because the existing design still remains popular. Inside, the biggest updates could arrive. The facelift may introduce larger digital displays, upgraded infotainment, better cabin materials and more premium technology. Additional comfort features are also expected.
Safety and driver assistance systems could become another focus area. Mahindra may expand ADAS availability and introduce further convenience technology to strengthen competition against rivals. Mechanically, major changes are not expected.
The SUV will likely continue with its familiar petrol and diesel engines along with manual and automatic gearbox options. The focus appears to be improving technology and premium appeal rather than changing performance. For buyers considering a family SUV with strong road presence, the Scorpio N facelift may become one of the biggest launches of 2027.
Which Upcoming Mahindra Looks Most Exciting?
Each of these upcoming Mahindra models targets a completely different customer. The Thar E focuses on electric adventure. The Global Pik Up introduces a more premium and lifestyle-oriented pickup experience. The Scorpio N Facelift aims to strengthen an already successful formula.
Together, these launches show that Mahindra is not slowing down and intends to expand aggressively across electric, utility and premium SUV segments. The next year could become one of the most exciting phases for Mahindra buyers in India.
