Hero Splendor once again remained comfortably ahead of every competitor. The commuter 2-Wheeler recorded sales of 3,09,131 units, becoming the only motorcycle to cross the three lakh mark during the month.

Compared to 1,97,893 units sold last year, Splendor added more than 1.11 lakh units and registered 56.21% growth.

Hero Splendor Plus

Perhaps the most impressive figure is market contribution. Splendor alone contributed more than 33% of total sales among the top 10 2-Wheelers, reinforcing its position as India’s undisputed motorcycle leader.

Honda Shine secured second position with sales of 1,82,874 units. Although growth remained more moderate compared to some competitors, the motorcycle still added nearly 14,000 additional units over last year and recorded 8.27% growth. Bajaj Pulsar followed in third position.

Sales stood at 1,31,031 units, helping Pulsar maintain its strong presence in both commuter and sporty commuter categories. The range recorded 5.66% growth compared to April last year.

Hero HF Deluxe emerged as one of the strongest performers. Sales more than doubled from 41,645 units to 91,977 units. That translated into a massive 120.86% growth rate, making HF Deluxe one of the biggest success stories of the month.

The premium segment also showed healthy momentum. Royal Enfield Classic 350 recorded 37,967 units, growing 41.66% year-on-year. Bullet 350 also maintained strong demand with 25,040 units sold, posting 51.86% growth. This trend suggests premium motorcycle demand remains healthy despite strong competition.

Among the top 10 motorcycles, only one model reported negative growth. TVS Raider dropped to 29,064 units from 43,028 units last year. This resulted in a 32.45% decline, making it the weakest performer among leading motorcycles.

The surprise performer of the month was Hero Glamour. Sales jumped from just 4,941 units to 26,573 units. That translated into an exceptional 437.81% growth, the highest percentage increase among all motorcycles in the ranking.

April 2026 proved once again that motorcycles remain India’s strongest two-wheeler category. While Hero Splendor continued its dominance, models such as HF Deluxe, Classic 350 and Glamour delivered standout performances.

At the same time, premium motorcycles maintained momentum and commuter products continued driving industry volumes. With more launches expected later this year, competition in India’s motorcycle market is likely to become even more intense.
